eat the blood

a shit eating grin
a scream
a tongue
snaking out
spilling poison words
venomous anonymous
what is real anymore
who murdered truth, justice, love
and other such afflictions
who will deny the answers
when the questions seems to change
transform with the seconds
break up and rearrange
till the broken finger is pointing back
at you
bone stubs pierce the skin like pine needles
falling down in the endless snow
that covers up the sins that we don't know
in this frozen wasteland
we hurt each other
we bleed each other
we hate each other
we need each other
till my blood is in your mouth
and my mouth is filled with taste of copper
you look at me and smile
with blood in your teeth

scratch the surface

wait for 2 AM
for what is sleep?
but an inconvenient gap
in this cycle of familiarity
even if a full day ahead
waits already with glint in its eye
with a knife hidden in a sweaty fist
it could go either ways
it knows as well as I do
but what fun is a day
without a few scratches
or some wounds to show for it
every day the scabs open
like doors to the temple
of some ancient deity
reverently we rip them off
consumed by a fervent piety
no matter how much we scratch
how much we bleed
it's only the surface
the wounds go too deep
perhaps now
it's time to sleep

shine

even arsonists are lightbringers
fire, doesn't always mean destruction
a knife is a knife, but in the right hands
it can change the world

one slice at a time

could you cut me a slice of that cake
or slice my jugular and watch me quake
as the blood sprays all over the ceiling and walls
and weakened and dying, i curl up in a ball
maybe I'll rock, or maybe start to roll

besides the point, though
the point being
we all shine
whether we burn or burn others

every heart is an arsonist in diguise
